Vial is a tracking tool, not a medical device.
Vial is an iOS application designed to help you record and review information about your injectable medications, doses, injection sites, weight, side effects, and related personal data. It is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.
Nothing in Vial — including the schedules it generates, the projections it displays, the reminders it sends, the pharmacokinetic curves it visualizes, or any other content within the application or on this website — constitutes medical advice. The application is provided for informational and personal tracking purposes only.
Always consult your healthcare provider.
Decisions about your medication — whether to start, continue, escalate, reduce, or stop any treatment — must be made in consultation with a licensed healthcare provider who knows your medical history. Your provider's instructions take precedence over anything shown in Vial.
If your provider's prescribed protocol differs from what Vial displays, follow your provider. Vial's titration schedules are based on publicly available prescribing information and commonly used protocols, but they are general references — not personalized medical recommendations.
About titration schedules.
Vial includes pre-loaded titration schedules for several GLP-1 medications (including tirzepatide, semaglutide, and liraglutide) and supports custom protocols for compounded medications and peptides. These schedules reflect:
- Published FDA prescribing information for branded medications
- Commonly used compounded protocols from telehealth providers
- Standard reference doses and intervals from peer-reviewed sources
Schedules within Vial may not reflect the most recent updates to prescribing information. They are not substitutes for the official prescribing label, your prescription, or your provider's instructions.
About weight projections.
Vial may display projected weight outcomes based on published clinical trial data, such as the SURMOUNT-1 study for tirzepatide. These projections are statistical averages of trial participants. Your individual results may vary significantly — some users lose more weight than projected, others less, others none. Projections are illustrative, not predictive of your personal outcome.
Side effects and adverse events.
If you experience side effects from your medication — including but not limited to severe nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, allergic reactions, signs of pancreatitis, gallbladder issues, or any symptom you find concerning — contact your healthcare provider immediately. In a medical emergency, call 911 (US) or your local emergency number.
Vial's side effect logging feature is for your personal tracking and to help you communicate with your provider. Logging a symptom in Vial is not equivalent to reporting an adverse event. To report adverse events related to FDA-regulated medications, contact the FDA MedWatch program at fda.gov/safety/medwatch or call 1-800-FDA-1088.
About compounded medications.
Vial supports tracking for compounded GLP-1 medications (including compounded tirzepatide and semaglutide). The legal and clinical status of compounded medications is evolving and varies by jurisdiction. Vial does not endorse, recommend, or supply any compounded medication. The decision to use compounded medications is between you and your prescribing healthcare provider, and you assume the risks associated with their use.
Peptides and research compounds.
Vial supports tracking for peptides such as BPC-157, TB-500, CJC-1295, and others. Many of these compounds are not approved by the FDA for human use and are sold for "research purposes only." Vial provides tracking functionality without endorsement of any particular use. Use of these substances is your responsibility and should be undertaken only with appropriate medical guidance and an understanding of associated risks.
Drug interactions and contraindications.
Vial does not check for drug interactions, contraindications, allergies, or pharmacokinetic conflicts between medications. If you are tracking multiple medications, supplements, or compounds simultaneously, discuss potential interactions with your healthcare provider or pharmacist.
